The rumours are not exaggerated – the waters of Northern Norway really are teeming with fish. Today this herring jumped right into our boat!
The characteristic peaks De Syv Søstre (The Seven Sisters). There are colourful legends about how these mountains were formed.
We did stop at Sør-Gjeslingan and couldn’t resist having some fun in Rørvik, but we also made considerable progress yesterday. Currently we are northeast of Vega, a group of beautiful islands that are on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, roughly a hundred nautical miles south of Bodø. That’s our next port-of-call.

Two hours later: we’ve now sailed beyond the town of Sandnessjøen.
