The “Northern Passage” is on the move again. The crew is well rested after a good night’s sleep in their hotel beds on terra firma.

There are presently four crew members on board: Thorleif, Vincent, Ibrahim and Børge. After his solid contributions on the Northeast Passage, Stas is back in Russia for some well-deserved r&r.

As it gets darker at night, two people are needed on watch to ensure safe and optimal sailing. We can reveal that a fifth crew member will be joining them later: Eric Brossier, a Frenchman who is famous amongst sailors for his “Vagabond” adventures.

Corsair could not deliver a new forestay to Point Barrow in time. A forestay has been improvised with some wire generously given by the crew of “Peter the 1st”. Our thanks!

The weather and ice is in a state of flux. As the days unfold, Thorleif and Børge will share report on the challenges the encountered by the “Northern Passage”. In good and in their own words they will reveal their preferred route through the Northwest Passage.

Stay tuned!
