To be in a good position for the finish line, we woke up at 4am to be ready to ski around 6am. The day seemed to be ideal for good progress: blue sky for visibility, some downhill and frozen snow for the speed.
Soon we were stopped again for a short repair : Samuel’s ski biddings broke down. The morning was nonetheless very productive and with such conditions by 11am we made 14km.
Motivated by all the food and drinks waiting for us when back to civilisation, we carried on skiing until 8pm (after 14 hours of effort!) to reach a breaking new record of 40,07km!!
This evening all the team is resting after a long day. It’s unusually quiet in the camp.
Cheers to all and ready for an early start tomorrow.
