Dear friends, Borge, Thorlief, Trygve and Vince!
Congratulations from me and the rest of the crew of “Peter 1″ with the completion of voyage around the world! We know what difficulties you have been struggling during your jorney, what dangers, ice and storms were waiting for you, and how you overcame this problems. We believe that the crew of “Northern Passage” made an outstanding achievement in the history of shipping!
We plan to arrive to Saint-Petersburg in early November. I’d like to invite the whole crew to visit us, where we are all together, finally, can share our experiences over a cup of tea.

It needs to be a very special experience to be at land again. With huge non-moving living rooms, with showers and beds that don’t swim. Lots of trees and thousands of people around you. Trees! Children! Social life. Newspapers. And yes, maybe a nice pub around the corner.

Dear Thorleif and crew,
warm congratulations to everyone for this fantastic endeavour! You guys are writing history here.
Very best regards from Shanghai,

Its a bit funny – after sailing for 3 mnths around the North Pole – they have to hide for a week in the Oslo fjord because they get back too early for their announced arrival…
Erik Braarud / October 19, 2010

(http://www.publico.es/ciencias/342001/el-calentamiento-abre-la-ruta-maritima-del-artico).CONGRATULATIONS FROM SPAIN!
