On towards San Rafael glacier

Published 29.10 in category Patagonia Northern Icecap Crossing 2013

This is the most beautiful place on the planet. There’s no wind, the sky is blue and the sun is shining strong. Temperature 10 below zero in the early morning.

Today we could see the Saint Valentin mountain all day long, not a single cloud on sight. It is a beautiful mountain. We can see the glacier coming down on all sides of it, it definitely looks very hard to get up there, another trip by itself.

Snow conditions are excellent as well, and we are about to enter the San Rafael glacier now. We are travelling fast.

It seems like the weather will hold for another day and then we might have some snow, maybe rain, but then, according to forecast, it should improve again.

Here is a photo of Peter and Bengt, both feeling strong and very good!
