Report Antarctica peninsula, day 15

Published 18.01 in category Antarctic peninsula trip 2019

On the way to the Reclus peninsula!

Since yesterday Cat Walk’s passage went so well, we are now going towards the Reclus peninsula. That peninsula will connect us back to the sea where we hope to be picked up…
But let’s not sell the skin before having the bear shot. We are 25 km from the start of the peninsula. Then 40 more km, sometimes in alpine terrain, are needed to reach the tip of Reclus. It is supposed to snow so we might not be able to go more than 10km/day. However, we do 15+ today. Great day of skiing!
It’s 2001 and we all feel tired. Time to rest the machine before the powder work tomorrow.
Life is good though!!!
Cheers
