Today has been another great day, sunny and calm. We are now on the veteran glacier, after a successful climb to Mountain Newton, the highest peak on Svalbard. Great view, there are mountains and glaciers all around us and we could even see Nordaustlandet island in the distance. Also saw two colonies with the rare ivory gull that obviously breed in the most inhospitable places. It is a beautiful bird but with an ugly cry

We are too close to high mountains to send photos tonight, but will try again tomorrow. Per sends his regards to his wife, and Astrid sends her best to her family as well!

Good night, Borge and all the team!
