Back in Coyhaique

Published 12.11 in category Patagonia 2017

Tanel and Walter went back to Esquel in Argentina the morning after we came in. Stuart, Matt and I dried the equipment, that was mostly dry, and packed it all together for storage. We had a lazy day, with good meals and roaming around in Coyhaique. Matt’s girlfriend came as well. They are going to bike up to Aconcagua, wich Matt is planning to climb.
Matt and Stuart left yesterday. Matt on bike, stuart with a plane from Balmaceda.
I started packing for a trek in Cerro Castilo, and arrived by bus in Villa Cerro Castilo this morning.
Now I am in the park, probably one of very few since the weather is quite rainy.

Picture of Matt and Stuart picking desert 🙂

This is the last post for this expedition. A trip that had it all!
Thanks a lot to The Patagonian Turtles team, it was a pleasure to travel with you. Lots of stories and great laughs. Many of them will be remembered for a long long time. I will for sure never again listen to Bruce Springsteen witout thinking of our amazing crossing!
🙂 Bengt
