Getting into routines

Published 01.09 in category Greenland Fall 2013

The days start to flow together. It is hard to say what happened yesterday and what the day before. At the same time things we do every day are now becoming routine. Getting ready in the morning, things like putting up tent goes faster every day.

We started to walk at 8. The snow is harder, but we still break through, but the sleds feel a little lighter than yesterday. In the start we had headwind, like yesterday. The sun disappeared inn the first leg. At 1400 the wind suddenly turned 180 degrees an pushed our backs. At the same time it started to snow and we got whiteout. After 9 legs we had done 23 kilometers.
Yesterdays Spanish lesson was snow: nieve
Today’s whiteout, or fog: niebla
