This training is based in Oslo and available all year round. It is engineered to refine your strength and ski skills. It is a great visit whether you are on the last stretch before an expedition or want to start preparations on the right foot.
Oslo is the epicenter of Norwegian cross-country skiing and having the facilities to give perfect skiing conditions all year – indoor as well as outdoor.

We will use the high-tech Holmenkolen facilities and the indoor SNØ (Snow) facilities. This combination means we have the perfect test and training conditions regardless of the weather and time of year.
How we put together your program is based on your input. But it will be a mix of programs and sessions, including the VO2 Max test, strength evaluation, ski technique, balance enhancement, interval running with ski poles, often roller-ski and tire pulling + personalized philosophical refinements. It all ends up with a tips and training program.

Why this program? Simply because Norwegians have a very high success rate on Polar trips. Is that because we are stronger? – Hardly. But we are used to skiing. We have better bullace and are much more efficient. This counts for a lot. And the longer the trip, the more we gain.

So this whole session is for you to not let any stone unturned. Not to let the last margins go to waist. A long Polar Journey is a very grueling experience. Always much harder and more marginal than you probably knew before the start.
