Ski on Johnston & snow blindness part 2

I will write a short post as I am aiming to rest for tomorrow’s departure. The gale has calmed down and the blue sky is back. The team went for a ski touring trip to Mount Johnston. Phil and Caroline skied from the top. Phil brought his whisky to celebrate his 150 th Antarctic summit. I am happy for them all as they took advantage of this beautiful day.

Meanwhile I lay flat in the tent during the whole day hoping for an improvement. Maria has very kindly taped my googles leaving a small slit. I even walked today a few meters outside and felt way better. I will definitely ski the first 8 km tomorrow eyes closed and have someone to correct my bearing.

Let’s hope for the best!
