5 days in Arctic Svalbard with a perfect mix of skiing, learning, wilderness – maybe even a hidden ice cave!
The Svalbard archipelago are located in the extreme north in the Arctic Ocean, halfway between Norway and the North Pole. Here, you will find untouched arctic wilderness and unique wildlife in a setting that is both rugged and fragile at the same time.
The perfect mini expedition to remote wilderness that fits into a busy lifestyle. This trip is possible between March and May as the weather is more stable at this time of year, and you can enjoy long days with more and more daylight.
This is how it works:
We all meet in Longyearbyen and spend a day preparing and getting introduced to what lies ahead.
Then we are driven out to our drop-off point. From there, we ski and pull light sleds for a few kilometres until we reach a stunning, pristine, and quiet location. Here we pitch our tents, whitch remain in the same place for the duration of our stay.
The daily program is largely up to you. However, we follow expedition routines, with an early breakfast, a lunch bag we dig into throughout the day, and then everyone gathering together again for dinner — either outside or in the main tent.
At the end of the trip, we ski back to a designated pickup point and are transported back to Longyearbyen. There, we gather for one final meal together (at a proper table this time) before everyone heads home the following day.

Expedition details
We will combine learning and wild arctic nature, we will see beautiful mountains and slumbering glaciers, maybe even wildlife such as reindeer and polar fox.
We do packing, preparations & briefings in Longyearbyen and then head out by transport towards our starting point. This trip is not technical, we are on snow the entire time, the campsite is on snow and the terrain is snow-covered ground.
the route
The route is to be decided and depends on conditions, amount of snow and weather forcasts. But we aim to just ski a few hours to the camsite. During the day the chosen activities decide the day routes, but will be in the vincibillity of the stationary camp.
Then we sjak (the same) route back to pickup.
What is included
We will provide an experienced guide, all general equipment such as tents, navigation, sleds, and security, communication and safety essentials like polar bear protection.

What is not included
The price does not include: Return travel to and from Longyearbyen on Svalbard. Food and shelter before start; you are free to choose accommodation to your liking.
Personal equipment, we will send you a packing list.
Travel- and cancellation insurance.
You may be asked to contribute if you have food allergies, intolerance, etc, so that we can be sure you have enough and safe food.
Any unforeseen delays / weather / change of plan may also result in extra cost.

We include breakfast, lunch and dinner once we leave "civilization" behind and until we are back in town.
Breakfast is Borge's special enriched porridge recipe, coffee/tea.
Lunch and snacks during the day, we do many short stops to eat and drink regularly rather than only one.
Dinner is composed of Real Turmat / DryTech expedition food.
signing up / Deposit / invoice
The system works as follows: Your Booking Form will give you a place in the queue. We will then send you a Deposit Invoice. This is non refundable according to our Travel Conditions. Once paid, your place on the trip is guaranteed and you are on your way.
3 months before the start of the trip we'll send final invoice with remaining balance
